Since 7 years old, Krerk has years of experiences in Programming. He has created tremendous scripts and a large number of software for embedded devices, PC and servers.
His master thesis was a prototype of IoT platform using 8-bit 8051 microcontroller and a tailor-made ethernet adapter.
The whole TCP/IP software was implemented in assembly program language. This is long before the term IoT was coined.
For this Ph.D thesis, Krerk invented Secure Bit, a transparently hardware solution against buffer-overflow attacks.
A computer with this hardware is protected from most viruses and worms.
At Michigan State University, he also served as a research assistant for several projects. (Pileus, Isafety, etc). In December 2006, he was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Science along with 2 patents pending
His research interests ranges from embedded systems, computer architecture, operating systems to system security.
